Democracy in Albania is young and fragile, due to a long lasting communist isolation. Therefore, FES Albania strives to increase the public’s trust and engagement in politics. Furthermore, political actors at various levels are encouraged and trained to work in a competent and independent manner.

In the light of the above, FES actively encourages actors on a national, regional and communal level to act and cooperate with integrity and responsibility, competent and dialogue oriented.
