RinON Youth Gains Hands-on Experience in Media and Public Debate

This season, 12 youths were given the opportunity to be part of the program for the first time. They were trained at the Academy of Political Education in intensive sessions in four days by acclaimed lecturers in their respective areas of study. The program followed with more trainings on television and media, aiming to equip participants with tools and knowhow in media communication and public debate. Following this journey, they met key political actors at local level from the two largest political parties in the country, the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party, to discuss issues concerning the 12 municipalities in centeral Albania.

Using tools obtained throughout the training in critical thinking, communication and debate skills, young participants encouraged politicians towards transparency, accountability, constructive debate, and shared long-term planning ideas for sustainable local policies.

The network of youths participating in the RinOn and RinVote series continues to remain active and engaged through exchange and transfer of knowledge and experience until the next season.
